Terms of use, October 26, 2026

The terms, in plain words.

Six short rules for using personalinjuryattorneys.com. They come down to this: the site is general information, reading it does not make the firm your lawyer, and no page promises anything about your case.

1. General information, not legal advice

Every page describes the law in general terms, with exceptions left out, for a person who has not yet talked to a lawyer. It is not advice about your situation. The rules on this site are checked against their sources on the dates shown, and the law changes between checks; follow the link before you rely on a rule. Where a rule page says the attorney review is in progress, no lawyer has yet signed off on that page.

2. No attorney client relationship

Reading this site, calling the firm or sending the form does not make The Ledger Law Firm your lawyer. That happens only when you and the firm sign a written agreement. Until then the firm has not agreed to represent you, and no deadline in your case is being watched by anyone but you.

3. No promise about any result

Nothing here predicts what a case is worth or how it ends. Every case turns on its own facts, its own evidence and its own insurance. Any statement on this site about what the law allows is a statement about the rule, not about your outcome.

4. Where the firm works

Lawyers at The Ledger Law Firm hold licenses in California, Texas and Washington. The site is written for people hurt in those three states. For an injury anywhere else, the firm may refer you to a lawyer licensed there. Nothing on this site is an offer to represent anyone in a state where none of the firm’s lawyers is licensed.

5. The words, the drawings and the links

The text and the drawings on this site belong to The Ledger Law Firm. You are welcome to link to any page and to quote a passage with the address of the page it came from. Copying pages to publish elsewhere is not permitted. The sources list on each rule page links to statutes, regulations and court decisions published by governments and courts; those pages belong to their publishers, and the firm does not control them.

6. Who publishes this site

This website is attorney advertising by The Ledger Law Firm, 5160 Birch Street, Suite 200, Newport Beach, CA 92660. The attorney responsible for its content is Emery Brett Ledger. What the site collects and what it does with it is described in the privacy notice. The firm may change these terms; the date at the top is the date of the last change.

Ask for a call back

Leave a number and, if you like, a line about what happened. Your request goes to The Ledger Law Firm, and the firm calls the number you give.

The first call may come from the firm’s automated intake assistant. A person at the firm takes it from there.

Or call 800-300-0001Or call 800-300-0001

The line is answered at any hour, by the intake team or by the firm’s automated intake assistant.

SI is the firm’s automated intake assistant. It is a computer program, not a person. It may be the one that calls you or answers your call, and a person at the firm takes it from there.

Sending this form does not make The Ledger Law Firm your lawyer. That takes a written agreement signed by you and the firm. Please keep private details out of the box above until you have spoken with someone at the firm.
